Another specialized treatment offered at the Med Spa is the new Latisse Phoenix, a drug that promotes eyelash growth. The benefits of Latisse were actually discovered by accident when it was noted that a drug, Lumigan, was brought to market by Allergan as a treatment for glaucoma, one of the leading causes of blindness worldwide. When given as eye drops, Lumigan acts to reduce the elevated pressure inside the eye caused by glaucoma. It became obvious that Lumigan causes increased pigmentation in the iris, and led to excess eyelash growth, making eyelashes on the affected side noticeably longer and fuller. Voila! Latisse was then developed as a cosmetic treatment for short, sparse lashes.

The Phoenix hair removal is a laser treatment that will provide a lasting solution for unwanted hair. The device uses intense pulsed light (IPL) to target the hair follicles. This powerful beam of light is attracted to the melanin production, and to the blood vessels, in the hair follicles.
